NOTICE OF RACE
I. RACE ORGANIZERS
Regatta is organized and carried out by the Kaunas City Municipal Administration Social Affairs Department of Physical Education and Sports Department and the Lithuanian Sailing Union.
Kaunas City Municipal Administration Social Affairs Department of Physical Education and Sports Division to fund:
-Regatta-winning awards and cups, framed diplomas and flowers,
- Base rent.
Lithuanian Sailing Union will organize and finance:
- Judges arrival, accommodation and meals;
- Boat rental;
- Regatta icon design and creation of construction;
- Public relations services;
II. RULES
2.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, notice of race, race instructions and racing yachts measurement existing rules.
2.2 Will not apply to any national guidance.
2.3 If the text is the linguistic objections, the English text shall be prevailing.
2.4 If there is a conflict between the provisions of the notice of race and racing instruction, the racing instruction must take precedence over the notice of race.
III. ADVERTISEMENT
All the yachts participating in the regatta must reflect the advertisement of the executing organization.
IV. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1 The regatta is open to all "Finn", "Optimist“, Laser Standard“,“ Laser Radial“, „Laser 4.7“ class yachts.
4.2 Race "Optimist“class sailors can participate born in 1995 and younger.
4.3 Registration of the participants carried out the first day of the regatta from 10:00am to 13:00pm.at Kaunas Sailing School „Bangputys“ premises, M. Gimbutiene Street 35, by submit an application to race form approved by LSU, or send by e-mail address:

- 10:00-13:00 Registration of participants.
- 13:00 Meeting of the judges, coaches and organizers.
- 14:55 Race Nr. 1. A warning signal.

Friday, October 1 d.
- 11:55 Race Nr. 3. A warning signal,
- Races Nr. 4, Nr. 5
Saturday, October 2 d.
- 11:55 Race Nr. 6. A warning signal,
- Races Nr. 7, Nr. 8

6.1 regatta organizers reserve the right to change the race schedule and the number of races.
6.2 May be no more than 4 races per day.
6.3 On Sunday, the last day of regatta, start can not be given later than at 13:00 pm.
VII. SAILING INSTRUCTION
7.1 Race instructions will be posted on the official notice board on 30 September 12:00
7.2 Race instructions copies, in Lithuanian and English languages, will be available at Sailing School „Bangputys“premises on September 31. from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm.
VIII. THE COURSES
Distance diagrams will be displayed in supplement A of race instructions.
IX. SCORING
9.1 Regatta winners are rated by the yacht groups:
„Finn“ – overall standings,
Laser-„Standard“ - overall standings,
Laser-„Radial“ – overall standings,
Laser „4.7“ - overall standings,
„Optimist“- overall standings,
„Optimist“- girls‘standings,
„Optimist“- boys and girls were born in 1999 and younger, the overall standings.
9.2 Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
9.3 When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
9.4 When from 5 to 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
9.5 When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.
X. PRIZES
Regatta prizes will be awarded for all classes of the first - third place winners if yacht group started at least four boats, irrespective of the number of applications filed. If started less than four boats is awarded only the first place.
XI. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
11.1 The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
11.2 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to race.
11.3 The participant’s coach or participant, if he has 18 years of age is responsible for boat preparation to race, including emergency equipment.
